Charl Tintinger, founder and Managing Director

I've spent 10 years as CTO of independent fibre builders in the UK: Gigaclear, Airband and MS3 Networks. Between them, they covered rural build with public subsidy, institutional refinancing, and open-access wholesale. Before that I led operations at Vodafone UK, giffgaff and Lebara, and I started my career as an electrician in the mining industry in South Africa.

The UK altnet market moved fast: a rush to build, then the hard work of filling networks, then consolidation. I've been on the inside for all three phases, reporting to boards backed by infrastructure funds and private equity.

I founded the company in 2016, originally as Tinac, and renamed it NV2 in 2025, to put that experience to work for fibre operators and their investors. I work as an interim or fractional CTO, carry out technical due diligence, and sit on boards as an adviser. My focus is the practical side: networks that work, systems that scale, operations that keep customers, and costs that hold up in front of an investment committee.

What I bring (short list)

  • FTTP and fixed wireless networks, including XGS-PON
  • OSS/BSS, service management (ITIL) and security (ISO 27001, TSA & PCI-DSS)
  • Business cases, refinancing support and investor reporting
  • Integration of systems, teams and vendors

Working across markets. Based in Oxfordshire, working with operators and investors in the UK, Europe and the US.
